Anna Nicole Smith's ex-boyfriend Larry Birkhead has confirmed he has changed their baby daughter's name - but she'll always be Dannielynn.
Despite reports he was considering re-christening the tot, after being named her biological father last week, the photographer has revealed he has only changed her surname - from Stern to Birkhead.
As part of an exclusive interview with Britain's OK! magazine, he says: "Birkhead has been swapped for Stern, but I don't want to change anything else. (Dannielynn is) what her mother named her and, even though I didn't get a say, I still want to respect her mother's wishes."

'American Idol' says sayonara to Sanjaya
It's about time!
Sanjaya Malakar, the under-talented but unflappable singer who horrified and captivated millions in his improbable "American Idol" run, was finally voted off the show Wednesday night.
When the result was announced, Malakar wiped away tears and got a big hug from LaKisha Jones, the next lowest vote-getter.
"I'm fine," he told Ryan Seacrest. "It was an amazing experience."
"I can promise you: We won't soon forget you," Seacrest replied.

Army Will Have to Decide on Any Disciplinary Action
It's been nearly four years since Pat Tillman was killed in Afghanistan by friendly fire. But CBS News has learned that investigations by the Pentagon's inspector general will now blame nine officers — including four generals — for failing to follow regulations and using poor judgment in a series of missteps that kept the truth of how Tillman died from his family for more than a month.
The official version was that the former NFL star had died in a fire fight with the enemy. It was only after a nationally televised memorial service was held for Tillman that his wife and parents were told he had been mistakenly shot by one of his own men.
Until now, only low-ranking soldiers who were part of Tillman's Army Ranger unit have been disciplined in the events surrounding his death. It will now be up to the Army to decide what, if any, disciplinary action to take against these nine officers.
According to a defense official, it does not appear that the inspector general's investigation, the fifth inquiry into Tillman's death, found any indication of an orchestrated cover-up. The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the issue, said it appears that senior military leaders may not have had all the facts or worked hard enough to get the facts of what happened on that day in April 2004.

Heather Mills has been attacked by US TV viewers after just one appearance on 'Dancing With The Stars'.
Heather had agreed to go on the TV show in a bid to win over the American public following her bitter split from Sir Paul McCartney.
But her efforts have already backfired as the show's website message-boards have been bombarded with scathing comments and insults.
One viewer, using the screen name Mytgr8, said: "She made a fool of herself in almost every shot on the show - immature and asinine. She obviously is going all out to get people to like her and it is backfiring big time."

Court Orders Smith Paternity Test

A Bahamian judge on Tuesday ordered a DNA test on Anna Nicole Smith's infant daughter to identify the baby's father, an attorney for Smith's mother said.
Larry Birkhead, an ex-boyfriend of the Playboy playmate who asked the judge to order the test on 6-month-old Dannielynn, pumped his fists in the air and jumped up and down as he emerged from the closed hearing.
"I feel great," he said. "It's been a good day in court for me."
Deborah Rose, an attorney for Smith's mother Virgie Arthur, confirmed the judge ordered the test, but she and others who attended the hearing declined to describe the proceedings.
Authorities left the building after the hearing and could immediately be reached for comment.

Brad Delp, the lead singer for the band Boston who killed himself last week, left behind a note in which he called himself "a lonely soul," according to police reports released Thursday.
The note was paper-clipped to the neck of Delp's shirt when police found his body on the bathroom floor of his Atkinson, N.H., home, his head on a pillow. He had sealed himself inside with two charcoal grills; toxicology tests showed he had committed suicide by carbon monoxide poisoning.
"Mr. Brad Delp. J'ai une ame solitaire. I am a lonely soul," the note read.

Pete Rose told ESPN Wednesday that he bet on the Reds "every night" while he was manager of the team in the late 1980s.
"I bet on my team every night," he told ESPN's Dan Patrick. "I didn't bet on my team four nights a week. I was wrong."
The confession wasn't Rose's first, reports CBS News chief investigative correspondent Armen Keteyian. In his autobiography, published in 2004, Rose revealed that he wagered many times a week while managing. Today, he admitted his gambling addiction was daily.

Even though reports are circulating that she and her partner may be the first couple voted off the show.
"I don't really get nervous - unless I'm going to meet a potential mother-in-law," joked the anti-land-mines campaigner, adding wryly: "Not that that's going to happen now." Heather is the first contestant with an artificial limb to appear on the show, but she insists her situation won't be a barrier to dancing as she is "quite flexible".

Captain America Is Dead; National Hero Since 1941
Captain America, a Marvel Entertainment superhero, is fatally shot by a sniper in the 25th issue of his eponymous comic, which arrived in stores yesterday. The assassination ends the sentinel of liberty’s fight for right, which began in 1941.
The last episode in Captain America’s life comes after the events of “Civil War,” a seven-issue mini-series that has affected nearly the entire line of Marvel’s library of titles. In “Civil War,” the government began requiring superheroes to register their services, and it outlawed vigilantism after supervillains and superheroes fought during a reality show, accidentally killing hundreds of civilians. The public likened the heroes to weapons of mass destruction that must be controlled.
The registration act polarized the superhero community. Captain America (whose true identity was Steve Rogers) considered the legislation an erosion of civil liberties; Iron Man, on the other side, believed that training heroes as the military, firefighters or the police are trained would only benefit society. When the factions came to blows and caused more destruction, Captain America chose to fight his battle in court.

Britney Spears' disturbed mental state may have worsened with reports of an attempted suicide and other bizarre behaviour while in rehab.
Tabloid newspapers have reported Spears as claiming to be "the Antichrist", writing 666 on her shaved head, and running uncontrolled through the Promises Clinic in Malibu.
"Later that night she tried to kill herself [with a bedsheet]," a source told the newspaper. "Paramedics were called, but luckily she was unhurt."

Blogger sued over topless Aniston photo
A Hollywood movie studio filed a lawsuit claiming gossip blogger Perez Hilton posted a stolen topless photograph of Jennifer Aniston on the Web. Universal City Studios Productions LLLP filed the suit Tuesday claiming the stolen image was posted on the perezhilton,com Internet site by Mario Lavandeira, aka Hilton.
The picture was allegedly "misappropriated and illegally copied" during production or post-production of the 2006 romantic comedy hit The Break-Up, starring the actress and Vince Vaughn, the suit said.
The shot of Aniston, 38, was not included in the final version of the movie, which earned more than $118 million at the box office.
The lawsuit, claiming copyright infringement and filed in U.S. District Court, said Lavandeira "posted all or parts of the stolen footage from the motion picture on his website."
